The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar has invited online applications for 84 Food Safety Officer (Class-3) posts.

Application Fee

₹500 (unreserved); ₹400 (reserved categories, women, disabled, ex-servicemen). Refunded only to candidates who appear in the exam.

Age Limit

18 to 37 years as on 10 November 2026, with category relaxations.

Qualification

Master's degree in Chemistry, or a degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agriculture Science, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Medicine (and certain related disciplines). Basic computer knowledge and knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi are required.

Salary

Fixed ₹40,800 per month for the first five years, then Level-5 pay scale ₹29,200–92,300.

Selection Process

1. One-stage MCQ exam (CBRT/OMR): 210 questions (Part A 90, Part B 120), 3 hours, ¼ negative marking; minimum 40% in each part
